Frequently Asked Questions

Using a standard pallet jack is relatively straightforward.

  1. First, ensure that the pallet jack is in the neutral position.
  2. Then, insert the forks of the pallet jack into the openings of the pallet, making sure they are fully engaged.
  3. Next, engage the hand control to raise the forks slightly off the ground, allowing you to maneuver the pallet.
  4. Once in position, raise the forks to the desired height, then carefully move the pallet to its destination.
  5. To lower the forks, simply release the hand control.

Remember to always adhere to proper safety procedures, such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and observing weight limits.

The most common type of pallet jack is the standard pallet jack, also known as a manual pallet jack or pump truck. These pallet jacks are widely used in warehouses, distribution centers, and retail stores for moving palletized loads.

A standard size pallet jack typically has fork dimensions of 27 inches wide by 48 inches long, which corresponds to the dimensions of a standard pallet. Additionally, standard pallet jacks often have a maximum weight capacity ranging from 4,000 to 5,500 pounds, depending on the model.
